Take the plank and burpee challenge

It can’t be helped. Most of us, even if we are already on a healthy journey, want to optimize our exercise and workout routines in the beginning of the year. Although I typically take spin, pilates and barre classes, and free weights on my off days, I wanted to do more. I decided to add a daily challenge for 30 days.

  1. The Plank Challenge
    1. Do a plank everyday
    2. Start with 20 seconds
    3. Try for a minimum of 60-90 seconds (preferably 120).
    4. Then add a plank switch from a full to elbow plank as your stopwatch goes
    5. Add on side planks
  2. The Burpee Challenge
    1. Do burpees everyday
    2. Start with 5 burpees
    3. Increase to a minimum of 30 (preferably 50, with breaks in-between sets of 10).

Then we can add on pushups and squats, but let’s start here.
