What are your creature comforts?

During times of winter blues, and the pandemic (even if it were gone), and for those of us who work from home, finding our “creature comforts” is so important. Finding what makes us feel cozier, more at home, and more at ease each day or week or weekend – whatever it may be is so important to our mental and emotional health.

A few things that help me include:

  • Getting up to exercise (a regimen) each morning – even if not I’m not motivated, I have the dedication, and afterward I always feel better and much more ready to tackle the day
  • Spending on what makes me feel at home – ex. recently I got a back kit, including a bath tray, pillow, and some fun salts and scents and candles to make it a true experience
  • My furballs – having someone at home to cuddle with – even a non-human is such a loving feeling, you can’t replace it
  • Books, podcasts, audiobooks, and tv shows I can rely on – I have my comfort shows for example I know I can count on to put me in a good mood, laugh, or just at ease – such as Friends, Criminal Minds (I know, but true), Grey’s Anatomy and more.
  • The perfect playlist – A couple songs or bands always put me in a better mood such as the red hot chili peppers and their song scar tissue. It just hits you a different way.

What are your comforts?

Until next time, #radiatedaily
