Change your story, own your mind

Ever think to yourself…

I hate my butt. I wish I had more money. I feel alone. I wish I had time for a vacation. Why can’t my boobs be bigger and my waist smaller. I wish people appreciated me. Why does everything happen to me. Why can’t I have more time.

Hello, self pity. Woe is me.

If we’re constantly thinking things are happening to us, and in such a negative tone – it will continue to be negative. Things will continue to “seem” to happen to you. Unless, you change your perspective on what is actually happening.

Change your story.

My butt looks good when I do squats. I’m going to make more money. I like myself. I will take a vacation this year. My body isn’t perfect, and that’s ok. I appreciate myself. Things aren’t always great, but I’ll be fine. I’ll make more time.

By seeing things in a different light, we find a way to own our minds. We are fighting our own brain. Showing it who’s boss. Being the boss of our own life. Creating a positive outlook on our lives. Appreciating ourselves and where we are. For example if we want more money, we can always find a way to make more. Take a second job, do freelance work, and/or work harder to get a promotion. In short, we have to create the positive output. Work towards it.

Want that great butt. Work for it. Know you’re working towards it and appreciate the progress. Appreciate the goal you’re working to reach.

Most important, remember that you are enough. Love yourself. Love your own company. Love yourself by being good to your body. Love yourself by taking time to breathe and go on vacation. Love yourself by doing things that make you happy.

Own it. Own your story. Own yourself.
