Judgement is inevitable when you do this

With the advent of social media, blogs, and other mediums that allow you to broadcast your personal brand at the click of a button, brings on another beast. Judgement.

Actors and famous people have had to deal with the issue of the media and putting out their image in tabloids for decades now. In that case there was little opportunity to provide a different view. Your own view.

Nowadays, with instagram, twitter, tiktok, facebook and more, individuals can put out their own view. Their own self image. Their own brand. Everyone from the famous folks to the insta-famous to the “average joe” who is building their own brand.

I’ve been using social media for decades now. And found it useful for different outlets. I have a few different instagram profiles, for example — one for my love for style, one for radiate daily (duh), one for my pets, etc. The one thing that is inevitable when you put yourself out there – is – judgement. And it’s not just judgement by people you don’t know, but by the ones you do. People will always find a reason to judge you, especially if you are being bold, confident, raw, real, unfiltered, and allowing yourself to be seen. And when you care less about people’s opinions, the more you will get judged, it appears.

Here’s the thing, “confidence is silent, insecurity never shuts up.” People are usually talking shit about you, because they lack confidence in some part of their own life, and instead are taking it out on you. Making fun of you. Putting you down. Questioning your decisions.

My advice. Who cares what they say. One of the best pieces of advice I’ve heard is, what people think about you, is none of your business. It’s their issue. Not yours.

So how about this – be the realest you, you can be — show them you are not afraid of being judged. Show them you are happy with who you are online and offline.

Until next time, #radiatedaily
